“From Idea to Market: Driving Rural Entrepreneurship through Innovation” is the title of the event that will take place on June 20th in Santiago de Compostela, at our Santiago de Compostela headquarters. The event is part of the activities of the European project InnovationGUIDE, within the European Innovation Ecosystem call, which aims to foster interaction between the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems of Spain, Turkey, the Netherlands, and Malta.
The event will bring together various representatives of the quadruple helix interested in contributing knowledge and analyzing potential barriers and opportunities for rural entrepreneurship in crucial sectors such as agriculture, sustainable tourism, bioeconomy, and the blue economy.
In Galicia, we have a rural ecosystem that contributes to economic growth and local development. Its agricultural, livestock, and fisheries wealth faces significant challenges, highlighting the urgent need for innovative solutions to boost industrial fabric. Similarly, Galicia is one of Spain’s main tourist destinations, with great potential for growth in sustainable rural tourism.
Therefore, it will not only be an occasion to connect with key players in the sector, including entrepreneurs, NGOs, academic experts, and public bodies, but it will also be a space to be inspired by real examples of best practices, discuss needs that will serve as a basis for transmitting innovative solutions to the challenges facing rural entrepreneurship in Europe.
