The HYBRIDS project is a doctoral network funded by the EU that aims to address disinformation and hate speech through the combination of human and artificial intelligence. Utilizing natural language processing tools and deep learning algorithms, the project integrates knowledge from social and human sciences to develop hybrid systems that overcome the limitations of existing artificial intelligence methods. The initiative involves an international consortium of 14 members from seven European countries, led from Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
The students involved receive specific training designed to enhance their development and foster a new generation of talented individuals. FEUGA contributed to this activity by delivering an interactive session at the Centro Singular de Investigación en Tecnoloxías Intelixentes (CITIUS), aimed at equipping doctoral students with the skills and knowledge necessary to monitor and analyze technological trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes. By the end of the course, participants will be able to implement a robust technological surveillance and innovation strategy tailored to their specific needs. The training is divided into two sessions: the first includes theory on technological surveillance and competitive intelligence, along with practical exercises on information sources; the second focuses on additional sources and the final presentation of the practical exercise.
In this context, the training provided not only enriches the professional profile of the students but also strengthens the consortium’s ability to address the challenges presented by the current digital environment with a multidisciplinary approach.
