More information about the workshop here

VARROAFORM, of which FEUGA is representant, is carrying out an innovation project whose main objective is to reduce the serious economic losses suffered by beekeepers due to varroatosis, an external parasitosis caused by the V. destructor mite. With this purpose, VAROAFORM has developed new formulations based on substances of natural origin, which are currently being assessed in the experimental apiaries of the project in Galicia, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha and the Canary Islands. The aim of these tests is to determine the efficacy of the new formulations, as well as their innocuousness on bees or ease of application, among other criteria.

This Face-to-Face Workshop is focused on these tests, explaining both the procedures and the results obtained to date. In addition, the work that the project has carried out since its approval in 2019 will be presented, as well as an analysis of the current situation of the varroa mite in Spain.

  • When? July the 10th, at 9 a.m.
  • Where? Finca La Alfranca, Pastriz (Zaragoza).
  • Registration: e-mail to arnaapicola@gmail.com or calling 976 852 201.

This Workshop joins the VARROAFORM project Face-to-Face Event that will be held between the 9th and 10th of July in Sueros de Cepeda (León). This event is focused on presenting the VARROAFORM innovation project and in queen bee breeding. For more information: https://varroaform.es/jornada-presencial-del-proyecto-varroaform/
